I know, I know. Father's Day is less than a week away, but there is plenty of time to create a great experience for your favorite dad that doesn't involve anything lame.
Just as I recommended with Mother's Day, Open Table is a perfect place to start if you want to take Dad out on Sunday. They have a list of restaurants with specials on Sunday and plenty of options to suit every palate and budget.
If you go the stay at home route, I highly recommend checking out Plated to make something new for Dad on Sunday. I recently reviewed Plated and its totally the bee's knees and super easy for cooks of all levels Place your order today to get it by Friday!
You're busy enough, so let Instacart take the heat off your to-do list and go grocery shopping for you! The great folks at Instacart are offering Mama's Guide readers a killer deal on their first order: $10 off AND free delivery when you spend $35. Just enter the code MAMASGUIDE at checkout to take advantage of this great deal!
What To Do
The Giants are home this weekend and they are the only people that can get away with giving Dad a tie for Father's Day! The first 20,000 people get a Giants Necktie thanks to State Farm, so skip brunch and treat Dad to a beer and a brat at the game.
You can also combine baseball and boating with a cruise on the Freda B on Saturday with SF Bay Adventures. Have a casual lunch on board while docked in McCovey Cove outside AT&T Park and watch the game on a big screen on the deck!
What To Give
While I'm not a big fan of gift certificates—they often represent the easy way out when it comes to gift giving)—a Betabrand gift certificate shows you have good taste, and you want the Dads in your life to have some style.
What are you plans for this weekend? My own father is coming to town so we'll be celebrating him and my husband. Two dads is better than one! Happy Father's Day everyone!
